I think my favorite V Price movie is The Abominable Dr. Phibes, outside of all the Poe films, of course. He’s just so good in it. You really feel for him and his wife even though he does kill just about everyone in the movie. Well, he killed only the people he thought deserved it. Not that they did, of course, but I can see how someone might think that based on what they did to his wife. I like how he was inspired by the 10 plagues of Egypt to create all those elaborate deaths, even though some of them aren’t exactly believable. Favorite death? The frog mask. Yeah, the frog mask. I’ve been thinking a lot about Vincent Price lately. He popped up again as Egghead on the old Batman TV show I watched the other day. The top of his head is so huge in that show. All you need to do is paint him green and you’ve got the Leader from the Hulk. Heck, Price would make a good Leader if they ever make a Hulk movie. After the Batman movie making all the money, who knows, maybe the Hulk is next? They did make a TV show about him, which wasn’t too bad. The episode with Daredevil was pretty good but why was he dressed all in black? That was weird. DD looked like a ninja on that show. Maybe that was the point? Saw the Batman movie today. I wanted to see it in the theater but me being me I had to wait until it came on video. My dad said they must have had 100 copies of it at Video Hits Plus and all but 1 copy was left. He got that one. Lucky us, I guess, but after seeing it I’m not so sure. It’s not bad, per se. You could even call it good but I don’t know if I’d call it a Batman movie. I came for Batman but all I got was the Joker. More to the point, all I got was Jack Nicholson in clown make up. At least the soundtrack was good. Both the main song and all those Prince songs. I don’t think it’s possible not to like a Prince song, though my dad might have a word or two to say about that.…
